Afera European Tape Week

European Tape Week is Afera’s flagship industry event, bringing the European adhesive tape value chain together for a full week of technical learning, business exchange, strategic discussion and association work. ETW 2026 combines the 12th Tape College, the 69th Annual Conference, Afera Committee Meetings and the Tabletop Exhibition, creating one focused setting for companies and organisations active in adhesive tapes, pressure-sensitive adhesives, release liners, surface protection films, process films, coated technical films, converting, and direct upstream materials and equipment.

ETW was created to give the industry a broader and more connected format than a stand-alone conference or technical seminar. It reflects how the sector works in practice: across materials, technologies, applications, regulation, sustainability, market intelligence and business strategy. For the industry, the event helps companies follow key technical, regulatory and sustainability developments, understand market and business trends, build relationships, and contribute to Afera’s collective work through the Association’s Committees.

Participants include senior decision-makers, technical specialists, managers, suppliers, manufacturers, converters, distributors, national industry associations, research institutions, universities and other stakeholders connected to the tape value chain. The Tape College provides structured technical learning for participants who are new to adhesive tape technology or wish to broaden their understanding of the sector, while the Annual Conference offers Afera Members a strategic forum for leadership, market insight and discussion of the wider operating environment. Non-Members may attend the Annual Conference once, by prior agreement, as an opportunity to experience Afera Membership and the value of the Association’s network.

The ETW’s first edition, held in Thessaloniki in 2025, confirmed the strength of the format, bringing together 185 participants from 20 countries and more than 100 companies. Momentum around the second edition is even stronger: Sponsorship interest has been overwhelming, early registrations are developing strongly, and the introduction of the Tabletop Exhibition adds a new central space for visibility, presentation and informal business exchange. Afera is confident that the next edition is well-positioned to build on the success of the first.
