In memoriam: Dr. Rainer Rauberger

On behalf of the European tape community, we at Afera would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and VPF and Henkel co-workers of Dr. Rauberger, who is memorialised in their letter below.

Dear FINAT and Afera members,

We are very sad to inform you that Dr. Rainer Rauberger died suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 49 on 27 March 2018. Rainer Rauberger
After working many years at Henkel, Rainer joined VPF paper and film converting company as sales manager 3 years ago. While with both companies, he attended several of your organisations’ events. We are all in shock and mourning this painful loss together with his bereaved family, as he leaves a wife and 12-year-old son.

Highly engaged, Dr. Rauberger was very much appreciated by customers and colleagues alike throughout his career. His many years of industrial experience and profound knowledge of adhesives earned him an esteemed reputation in the adhesives industry.

“We will sorely miss him, his humour and the deep conversations that frequently went beyond purely work topics,” shared VPF Managing Director Ralf Waltmann.
