The Hague, the Netherlands – Afera, the European adhesive tape association, has released a new position paper on the Status of Adhesive Tapes under the Single-use Plastic Directive (SUPD) as part of the work undertaken by the Advocacy Workstream of Afera’s Flagship Sustainability Project (AFSP). The goal is to offer background information and guidance to Afera members to support them in their communications with customers.

Since our early decision to postpone Afera’s 9th Technical Seminar in Brussels to 24-26 August, we have seen the accelerated spread of the dangerous coronavirus throughout Europe. Meanwhile, we have lost count of the number of national, Europe-wide and international industry conferences, exhibitions, seminars, meetings and other public events that have been postponed or cancelled.

Following the additional measures announced by the Dutch government to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, Lejeune Association Management has decided to work from now on with an adapted, minimum occupancy at the office in order to limit the risks of contamination.
