Kiran Malhotra retires from Berry Specialty Tapes, remains active in PSTC and GTF

Kiran Current Global Test Methods Committee (GTMC) Chairman Kiran Malhotra recently announced his retirement as product development director at Berry Specialty Tapes RINY. He worked at Berry and as technical director at Adchem Corp. for 20 years.


Mr. Malhotra, who has a master’s of science in polymeric materials from the Polytechnic Institute of New York, a bachelor’s of technology in chemical engineering from IIT Bombay and a patent law degree from Suffolk University, has been involved in the adhesive tapes business for 40 years. He previously worked as technical director at Plymouth Rubber Co. for 14 years and in tape manufacturing in India for 6 years.


Mr. Malhotra is the former chairman of the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council’s (PSTC) Test Methods Committee and PSTC representative to the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). On behalf of the PSTC, Mr. Malhotra served as Global Tape Forum (GTF) Chairman from 2014 to 2016. In 2018, he took on the position of GTMC Chairman. Mr. Malhotra will continue to lead the GTF in globalising adhesive tapes testing standards and remain active in the PSTC as its GTF representative.
