PSTC unveils Tape Week, a refreshed take on its annual event, Tape Summit

The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC), the leading North American trade association for pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape manufacturers and affiliate suppliers, officially announced today the rebranding of its historically-named Tape Summit to Tape Week. Promising something for everyone, the reinvigorated event will offer a record amount of networking opportunities, expanded educational opportunities and an optimized schedule. Tape Week will be held May 4-7 in the Orlando, Florida, area and expects to see the attendance of over 500 pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape professionals.

Tape Week, a modern take on PSTC’s yearly Tape Summit, invites attendees to advance, engage, discover, influence and thrive in the presence of more than 500 colleagues from 100 companies representing ten different countries. New educational sessions will cover ten market segments, eight industry verticals and focus on the building and construction industry, along with the soft launch of sessions teaching about the applications of PSA tape in the automotive industry. This expansion comes in line with PSTC’s primary mission to draw attention to the advantages of using PSA tape in various verticals over traditional bonding methods.

“After many months of preparations, we are proud to officially unveil Tape Week to the PSA tape community and beyond. Building on the well-established legacy of Tape Summit, we are confident that Tape Week will allow us to create an exciting, all-inclusive environment, where attendees can engage with new business connections, discover what makes PSA tape the optimal bonding solution and advance their technical and practical knowledge, said Michel Merkx, PSTC president.

Merkx went on to express his gratitude to those who have attended Tape Summit, saying, “We would like to thank all who have made our Tape Summit a success in the past and extend an invitation to them and new colleagues and to attend Tape Week next year.”

In addition to two optimized tracks presented at the event, including the Technical Track and the Markets and Applications Track, Tape Week will also introduce the Exhibitor Showcase – the ultimate strategic networking event for organizations seeking to engage with new and pre-existing customers and cultivate valuable relationships with them. The Showcase also encourages participation in the Innovation Poster Session, where these same organizations can educate attendees on groundbreaking products, techniques and/or processes that change the playing field for PSA tape and its various applications.

Commenting on the benefits presented by the Exhibitor Showcase, Henkel Marketing Director Kate Layser said, “We get to speak with our customers, our allied suppliers and other industry professionals, and it sparks conversations that we really wouldn’t be able to have in a different setting.”
